Established in 2015, the Shaw and Partners Foundation was created to provide a meaningful platform for greater participation in community service across Australia. Our mission is to strengthen communities through a combination of financial support, volunteering, and skills sharing, with a strong focus on mental health, education, and social inclusion.

We are committed to making a lasting difference by offering funding, expert advice, and practical assistance through a range of initiatives. This includes pro bono consulting services for charities, activity-based fundraising, and financial backing for our advisers and staff in their own fundraising efforts.

The Foundation Committee actively encourages all Shaw and Partners employees to engage with causes they are passionate about, supported by our fundraising matching policy. The majority of our staff and advisers contribute financially through regular donations and generously volunteer their time to community projects and charitable organisations.

OUR FUNDING APPROACH

Through various programs, the Shaw and Partners Foundation delivers:

  • Financial assistance for staff and advisers to help them achieve their fundraising goals.

  • Pro bono consulting services to charities, drawing on our professional expertise to maximise their impact.

By combining resources, knowledge, and community spirit, the Shaw and Partners Foundation continues to drive positive change and empower individuals and organisations to create a stronger, more inclusive Australia.

Our very own Stephen ‘Thommo’ Thomas celebrated 100 donations at the Blood and Plasma bank.

Last May 2024, Stephen aka ‘Thommo’ racked up his 100th blood and plasma donation - which over the years has been a tally of 60 plasma donations and 40 blood donations.

Just 1 bag of plasma can help up to 18 different patients; From those suffering from cancer to patients receiving skin grafts. With a reliable statistic that has 3 lives saved by just 1 blood donation, you can see how incredible of a feat this is.

We celebrated this remarkable achievement with a Morning Tea in the office where Thommo announced the donation of $2,500 to the Women’s and Girl’s Emergency Centre which is a homelessness service for women and families escaping domestic violence.
